The Mj/Prince Rivalry from my perspective

i love drawing these two. From what I can gather, the "rivalry", if you wanna call it that, pretty much consisted of MJ reaching out to Prince to collaborate and being turned down. Not that they didn't throw shade every once in awhile, but it wasn't a regular thing and they actually had a ton of respect for each other.

I always assumed the reason he turned down MJ to do the Bad video (and duet) was because mike didn't ask for help to write the song, he only wanted to sing with him. Like if Michael asked him to help write some songs as well as duet with him I'll bet they would have been unstoppable. I know some fans will disagree with me on that and that's ok, but we'll never really know what a collab with them would have been like, so i like to think it would have been awesome.
